SERVICE PROCEDURES FOR FIRE EXTINGUISHING EQUIPMENTS

1. Portable Fire Extinguishers

- Check outside condition for body, handle, hose & nozzle, valve. Repair if necessary.

- Check Agent and propellant Gas. Replace if necessary.

- Check Hydrostatic Test Date. Re-test if expired.

- Put on label with inspection date and inspection card

- Make report and issue Certificate

2. High Pressure CO2 system

* Annual inspection

- Inspection / check weight of CO2 cylinder

- Check audible / visual alarm system, fan stop

- Blowing by compressed air from CO2 room to all nozzles

* 5 yearly inspection

- Inspection / test Time Delay Unit

- Manifold leakage tested by applying dry working air

- Pilot line pressure tested at maximum working working pressure

- Internal inspection for main valve

* 10 yearly inspection

- Pressure test CO2 cylinder (at least 10%)

- Replace flexible hose (if applicable)

3. Self Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA)

- Check / clean hardness, facemask, breathing valve, pressure gauge

- Check condition of air cylinder with valve. Refilling if necessary

- Attach label with inspection date
